We have a brilliant opportunity for a Quality/Education Officer role for a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse.

This is a full-time position (72 hours per fortnight) with a 9-day fortnight roster (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM).

Located in Devonport, TAS this is a fantastic Aged Care residence with a brilliant team!

Essential Criteria:

  • Full-time Australian working rights
  • AHPRA Registration
  • 5+ years of clinical experience (Aged Care experience essential)
  • Leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Clinical Director and management team in providing leadership and guidance to clinical staff.
  • Act as a clinical resource and foster collaboration with residents, their representatives, and the care team.
  • Provide on-site clinical training, support staff professional development, and assess competencies to build a skilled workforce.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based education programs to address learning gaps.
  • Mentor and support transitional nurses in applying their knowledge to practice.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement processes and ensure compliance with aged care legislation.
  • Investigate and report Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) matters and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, report on findings, and support operational and care delivery excellence.
